IT Support Engineer

Dynamic and Growing transport company are looking for an IT support engineer to join their ever growing team .  They offer a wide range of diverse transport related services to help connect the UK with Europe and the rest of the world.
The Role
This is an interesting and varied role working alongside the Senior Support Engineer to provide proactive and effective IT and infrastructure support services within our Scottish locations.
Your key duties will include assisting with managing the workload of the IT Helpdesk, installation and maintenance of new and existing IT and industry specific equipment, telephone and deskside support for IT requests, asset management and ordering new parts and equipment.
The role also requires site visits and travel between our Scottish locations to install, configure and troubleshoot IT hardware and equipment.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally you will have an HNC/HND in an IT related subject, or an equivalent professional qualification.

You must have sound working knowledge of

-LAN/Wan networking
-MS Office, Microsoft exchange
-Office 365
-Windows operating systems
-Active Directory and 1st/2nd line Helpdesk experience.
You will have strong communication, organisational and customer service skills.

You will also possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills and be comfortable working to deadlines in a busy working environment.
As you will be expected to participate in the 24/7 on-call rota then a flexible approach to your working hours is required.  An on call allowance is paid for this in addition to your basic salary. 
There will also be a requirement to work some out of hours and weekend overtime.
You must have a full driving licence.
