Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Exeter
Salary up to £55,000
Plus £125 monthly fuel allowance
30 days holiday
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 08.30 - 18.00 with a 1hour lunch
  
The Company
Our client is a successful privately-owned family ran organisation with more than three decades of motor industry experience. They employ 600 staff who are based across 9 sites throughout the South West, which includes 4 dealerships which are based at Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth and Truro.

 
What are the key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager?
  • Administers all finance and insurance products in line with the company standards and processes in addition to statutory requirements
  • Communicates with the marketing team to ensure vehicle information, specification and pricing is up to date
  • Communicates and develops strong personal relationships with customers and business partners
  • Offers sound advice and product knowledge to customers on vehicles, prices, specifications and technical data
  • Assesses used cars and conducts technical appraisals on part exchange vehicles
  • Manage all customer leads to point of sale and delivery
  • Run an efficient contact management diary, ensuring all leads are maximised
  • Concludes sales in a professional manner and with the best interest of the company
  • Maintain accurate information of customer database within franchise and legal guidelines
  • Organises all administrative aspects of the transaction in line with the customers expectation
  • Provides the customer with contacts in other departments to support the overall customer experience
  • Reviews customer satisfaction and implements improvements
  • Communicates clearly, regularly, and promptly with the customer, their line manager and colleagues

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for selling within the Motor Industry
  • Is highly motivated, articulate and communicates effectively
  • Has sound knowledge of product and is trained in sales
  • Enjoys exceeding customer expectation
  • An understanding of finance products
