Job Title:            Lamination Operatives
Location:            South Molton
Job Type:            Temp to Perm
Hours:                 Days (Wk1) Mon-Thu, 7am-7pm (48 hrs) Nights (Wk2) Mon-Wed, 7pm-7am (36 hrs)
Pay:                     £9.86/hr plus shift premiums (pay rate currently being reviewed)
 
My client is a diversified wood products company with more than 60 facilities in Canada, the United States and Europe. From responsibly sourced and sustainably managed forest resources, the company produces lumber, engineered wood (OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood, particleboard), and other products including pulp, newsprint, wood chips and renewable energy.
 
The UK-manufactured products are FSC certified and are used extensively in the construction, DIY and furniture sectors. The brands, SterlingOSB Zero, CaberFloor and CaberWood MDF, are well known in the construction industry and are commonly specified by architects, national housebuilders and specifiers. The South Molton site manufactures and distributes kitchen units (flat packed and assembled) to 100+ sites across the UK.

Main Purpose of Role:
 
To efficiently laminate boards and impregnate paper via automated machines within the department.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Ensure all aspects of health and safety are met and followed
  • Meeting set targets
  • Ensure set tolerances are met at all times
  • Training and development
  • Ensure that all areas always meet the required housekeeping standards
  • Operate forklift truck as per training
Person Specification:
 
  • Fork-lift licence - desirable
  • Good computer literacy
Good mathematical skills and understanding
