Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing:
    • Follow detailed build instructions accurately.
    • Ensure timely production within cost constraints.
    • Work within a Quality Accredited environment with zero tolerance for defects.
    • Embrace an improvements culture and continuous improvement mindset.
    • Prioritize safety, adhering to a zero-harm culture.
Section 3. Requirements of the Role:
Level 1:
  • Proven track record of safety and teamwork.
  • Willingness to undergo eye examinations and color blindness checks.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn new skills.
  • Attention to detail, adherence to build instructions and specifications.
  • Ability to work in an organized manner in a 6S environment.
  • Zero defects, right first-time attitude.
Level 2:
  • All Level 1 requirements.
  • Problem identification with the ability to follow through.
  • Support project builds and team lead.
  • Advanced manufacturing skill base.
Level 3:
  • All Level 2 requirements.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Coach and train Levels 1 & 2.
  • Lead project builds or lines.
  • Advanced manufacturing skill base.
Section 4. Competency:
  • Customer-focused with excellent technical knowledge.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, KPI-led environment.
  • Competence in soldering, assembly, PCB build, wiring operations.
Section 5. Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities – CORE:
Essential:
  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • ERP/Shop booking systems experience.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork.
Desirable:
  • Accredited Quality Systems knowledge (ISO9001 or AS9100).
  • Lean manufacturing or production techniques knowledge.
  • Formal apprenticeship.
  • Additional accreditations (e.g., trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd).
