What will be the responsibilities of the Production Engineer?
- Responsible for effective and efficient quoting process ensuring RFT drawings and specifications to manufacture
- Complete contract review requirements to process assuring that customer expectations and specifications can be fully met.
- Implement and utilise PPAP Process techniques and assure capability to enable RFT in manufacture
- Complete Red Line Drawing reviews to assure RFT
- Manage change control in manufacturing processes, CRB, ECR etc
- Complete process and compliance audits, and manage CA’s to closure
- NPI – associated with Standard product
- Support the provision of training for operations processes
- Production engineering process and procedure documentation creation and maintenance
- Problem identification and solving using AS1300 suite of tools, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, MSA to drive RFT production of product
- Produce all manufacturing documentation needs in process, providing BS, Routings, Standard work instructions etc
- Manage timely change control in manufacturing
- New product introduction using tools including APQP, PPAP etc to deliver RFT NPI
- Understanding of AS9100 and business management systems
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and cross functional teams to achieve business objectives and deliver process improvement
- Create and work t KPIs in a performance driven environment
- Ability to facilitate and lead effective RCCA problem solving events with a cross functional team
- Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Strong technical bias
- Attention to detail
- Degree or relevant experience in mechanical/electronic engineering
- PPAP/Lean Manufacturing/CI qualification or relevant experience in application of lean tools (Six sigma)
