Job Title: Technical Sales Advisor
Reports To: Customer Service & Key Account Manager
Department: Customer Services
 
Salary Range: TBD + Sales Performance Bonus.
Job Type: Permanent (0830 – 1700 Monday to Thursday.  0830 – 1330 on Fridays)
Location: Barnstaple, Devon

This is a great opportunity to join a small friendly team as a Technical Sales Advisor.  Your role will be to support the Customer Service & Sales team on enquiries to maximise sales success, as well as producing quotations and processing orders & credits that have been generated to a high level of accuracy. You will always demonstrate great customer service and work together with your team to support and deliver business objectives.
 
What will the role include.
 
  • Process quotations that are well presented, cost effective with a high level of accuracy.
  • Process orders and credits with a high level of accuracy.
  • Build strong relationships with existing & prospective customers; actively progressing opportunities to convert to order placement.
    • To review customer requirements & provide clear technical support.
  • Support the Customer Service / Key Account Manager and Sales Managers with customer requests whilst understanding any impact on customer requirements, stock profiles and consider value added solutions.
  • Work closely with the internal team in delivering / exceeding sales and margin targets.
  • Understand stock profiles and current market requirements to support stock build requirements.
  • Manage and maintain customer & sales records within the ERP & CRM systems.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Customer Service / Key Account Manager and any report any opportunities for improvement to strengthen the customer experience.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, book visitors onto site & other office duties.
 
What we are looking for.
 
  • Technical / Manufacturing experience supporting Sales / Customer Service
  • Have great attention to detail & able to prioritise but always putting the customer first.
  • Minimum GCSE Grade C in Mathematics
  • Able to understand manufacturing drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of MRP / ERP / CRM systems will be advantageous.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually as required.
