What is the purpose of the Good In Goods Out/Stores Operative?
This role has been created due to continued growth and success of a local manufacturing company. The stores operative will have a varied role as one minute you could be working on stock take or new deliveries to distributing materials across the production Area, 
 
What skills and experience will the Good In Goods Out/Stores Operative?
 

• Reach Forklift licence essential;
• Counterbalance truck licence an advantage;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to work to procedures;
• Good communicator;
• PC literate with good administration skills;
• Experience in manual handling and Goods In/Out preferred but not essential
• Ability to prioritise workload;
• Flexible and trustworthy;
• Driving licence advantageous but not essential;
• Heavy lifting.

 
 
 
What will the Good In Goods Out/Stores Operative?

• To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages;
• Load and unload trucks and vans in line with H&S procedures;
• Move goods to relevant departments using pallets trucks and electric ride on trucks;
• Notify the relevant Department via the Delivery Note of any short shipments/mis-picks;
• Notify relevant Department of any damaged goods received and place in the Quarantine section, awaiting further instruction;
• Physical movement of stock from the Goods In area to the warehouse and/or packing and putting away stock onto the shelves;
• Shelf replenishment; take from pallet bin locations, replenish shelf and then put the balance back in pallet bin location; Packing goods into boxes;
• Maintain yard and department tidiness/recycle the cardboard;
• Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded;
• Small amount of PC work, to transfer the stock between bin locations (training provided);
• Assemble boxes.
