An excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a well-established manufacturer and lead their Engineering team.

Job Title: Engineering Manager
Job Type: Permanent; 37.5-hour week
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Location: Bideford

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team. This pivotal role involves overseeing engineering projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that align with our company's commitment to excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:
  • Lead and support the Engineering Team
  • Ensure customer and project deliverables for both conformity and compliance are determined before transfer from Engineering into Manufacturing, including consideration to Health, Safety and Environmental constraints.
  • Working with the Engineering Team, facilitate new enquiry or new concept projects from first discussions to help determine suitability and feasibility.
  • Fully embrace both Lean Culture and initiatives to become an integral part of the business
  • Monitor Engineering metrics such as quotation delivery performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Support Engineering team development to increase resilience
  • Provide guidance to the Management team on Engineering direction
Requirements of the Engineering Manager:
  • Experience of leadership
  • Able to multi-task and organise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Appreciation of Aerospace requirements
  • Positive communicator and contributor with good leadership skills
  • Proven experience in engineering management within manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering, CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and product development.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools is a plus.
