Multi-Skilled Engineer
Our client, a leader in their field is seeking an Electrically biased Multi-skilled Shift Engineer to play a key role in their company's success. They are looking for a highly skilled individual who can adapt to various aspects of their operations, providing top-tier engineering expertise to enhance their performance.
 
Our Client
With over 50 years in their industry, they are an award winning company.  They support several charities and focus on packaging that can be recycled too.
 
Monday to Friday  40 hours per week in Okehampton.
Week 1 0600 – 1400 hours  All hours paid 
Week 2 1400 – 2200 hours
plus Saturday working on Overtime (time and one half).
Flexible approach to working hours required.  
 
What is the purpose of the Electrically biased Multi-skilled Engineer?
As a Multi skilled Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient performance of our clients equipment while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and engineering excellence.
 
What will you do as the Electrically biased Multi-skilled Engineer?
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed and timely records of all maintenance work, including root causes of failures and consumables used.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine and planned preventative maintenance to keep our clients equipment in optimal condition.
  • Breakdown Resolution: Swiftly attend to and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance efficiencies.
What skills and experience will you need to be the Electrically biased Multi-skilled Engineer?
  • Education: Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Qualification: Possess a recognized engineering qualification.
  • Maintenance Experience: Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility: A flexible attitude toward work hours.
  • Electrical Skills: Competent in electrical work, including fault finding and analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to Detail: Methodical with a strong attention to detail.
