What is the purpose of the Production Manager role?
 
To achieve operational KPI’s and budgetary requirements through effective management and operation of employees, resources and machinery.
 
What will be the responsibilities of the Production Manager?
  • Achieve daily, weekly and monthly production plans with effective use of people and equipment.
  • Working alongside team leaders to ensure manufacturing processes are operated by the right people in the right manner.
  • Improving performance in quality, cost and delivery.
  • Ensure manufacturing team meet KPIs and targets for improvement with efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement and Lean activities.
  • Participate in project management process for NPI.
  • Coaching, mentoring and ensuring company policies adhered to.
  • Ensuring product quality and delivery.
  • Interaction with key stakeholders and both internal and external customers.
 
What skills and experience will the Production Manager have?
  • Manufacturing experience within aerospace or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience of effective operational team management.
  • Ability to develop plans regarding target and budget setting.
  • Experience of implementing lean improvements to improve performance.
  • Able to implement new technologies to improve existing processes.
  • Cost and budget control.
  • IOSH certified
  • Lean practitioner
