North Devon
Mon – Fri, 8am – 4.30pm
£25k - £30k
 
The Company
An established and experienced provider of recycled wood products to the industrial and commercial sectors. This is an expanding and a growing company who are investing in new production technologies and processes.
 
What is the purpose of the Maintenance Planner role?
To plan the safe maintenance, repair or replacement in parts of plant, equipment and systems to also ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that plant and equipment remains operational.
 
To ensure that all plant and equipment is serviced in accordance with company’s planned
preventative maintenance schedules to help reduce the downtime of plant to a minimum.
 
Develop maintenance job plans and prepare them for scheduling and execution including regular maintenance jobs, preventive and predictive jobs and planned shutdowns.
 
Maintain and update the local parameters of the maintenance portion of CMMS.
 
What will be the responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner?
  • To create and monitor group work orders (same equipment or area) as efficiently as possible
  • Develop job plans as per specified standards set by the Line Manager
  • Perform field inspections for work orders as appropriate
  • Provide job project estimate for originator review and approval
  • Initiate “Management of Change” process as appropriate
  • Use, enter and maintain job plans within CMMS, and/or the job plan library
  • Hold final review (prior to execution) with customer and maintenance supervision, and Notification Validator (gatekeeper), regarding job cost and benefit, deciding on recommended priority and timing
  • Requisition and reserve parts and materials needed for the job
  • Collect and validate documentation to be filed (electronic and paper)
  • Control and maintain the CMMS including all relevant paperwork
  • Place cost effective orders for production and engineering
 
What skills and experience will the Health and Maintenance Planner have?
  • Strong organisational and administration skills, ability to support in the organisation with the planning of maintenance tasks
  • Working knowledge of work order management systems or CMMS preferred
  • Must be comfortable and effective dealing with all levels of an organisation
  • Experience dealing with contractors and suppliers
  • Comfortable reviewing, updating and creating risk assessments, work orders, permits to work etc
  • Demonstrated competence in CMMS data generation, organising, cleansing and formatting
