Mechanical Engineer 
hours 37.5 hours per week 0700 - 1500 Monday - Friday 
21 days holiday +BH + Xmas shut down

Embark on an exciting journey as a Mechanical Engineer working within a small Maintenance team with our client, a leading manufacturing company. In this permanent role, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in maintaining and optimizing their state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring their operations run smoothly and efficiently. With a competitive salary range of GBP30,000 to GBP40,000, this is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on maintenance and repair of critical machinery- Proactive problem-solving to identify and resolve equipment issues- Collaborative approach to supporting our clients team and driving continuous improvement within the factories.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all site assets and systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Quickly respond to breakdowns, diagnose the issue, and repair in an efficient and timely manner
  • Recommend and implement upgrades to existing equipment to improve efficiency, safety, or energy consumption
  • Provide technical support and advice to operators and other personnel on safe equipment use and maintenance
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with additional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) as a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with specific industry experience preferred (e.g., manufacturing, utilities)
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools, as well as strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
