The Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the departmen. This role ensures operational efficiency, strong customer satisfaction, and supports strategic business growth. Managing a small team of production operatives.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the departmen. This role ensures operational efficiency, strong customer satisfaction, and supports strategic business growth. Managing a small team of production operatives.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis) to improve processes
- Monitor KPIs and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Lead a team of operators within the department undertaking performance reviews, management of holiday schedules and absence management.
- Develop and maintain conversion schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Plan and coordinate the use of eight conversion assets and packing area.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to align schedules with customer requirements.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to address any delays or changes in priority.
- Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Communicate lead times and any changes effectively to all stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on production and conversion activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve planning processes and efficiency
- Previous Leadership role / demonstration of within a Manufacturing Environment - Essential
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Monitor KPIs and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Problem Solving / Process Improvement skills or qualifications - Desirable
- Performance management Experience - Essential
- Proven experience in a planning or scheduling role, preferably within a manufacturing environment - Essential.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software - Desirable
